Artist Ghada Khunji commented on the Akkas Portrait Studio project and exhibition, saying:
“In an age dominated by quick selfies and the ephemeral nature of mobile photography, I invite you to step back in time with me. At Akkas Portrait Studio, I am dedicated to capturing portraits that focus on the essence of the individual, stripping away the noise of modernity to reveal the pure, unfiltered humanity of my subjects. My work is a celebration of the person in their simplest and most potent form, creating a direct connection between myself and the soul I am fortunate enough to photograph.
Each portrait I create is more than just an image; it serves as an x-ray of the individual’s spirit. I believe that every person carries a unique story, this is not merely a photographic endeavor for me; it is a deeply personal mission. My subjects become living evidence of life itself, each one a vital thread in the rich tapestry of our shared human experience."
